| | the first time i went to japan hajimete nippon hi itta |
today was the last time i got to hang out with my friends i made in Japan. what i did today:
woke up around 11 something to get ready. met up with charlene to give her the present she asked me to buy for her friend. she helped me exchange some dollars into yen because i was planning to go buy a psp for my cousin's friend. i biked to hirakata shi to check out if they got it. two places that sells games, that i know of, all said psp is sold out. ok, so i didn't give up. i took the train to osaka. osaka is 15minutes by the super express train. 40 minutes local. just imagine how far it is. it's like going to new jersey to buy games. no not newport that takes 5 min by pathtrain. mind you, these trains in japan are fast. probably 80mph? lol. if that hits anything, i swear, it'll shatter. anyways... so i went to osaka namba and checked out the 3 games stores in den den town (cheapest place around for electronics and stuff) guess what? PSP SOLD OUT! i was like... >.< no way i came all the way here for nothing! so i bought myself taiko drum master 5th edition! can't wait to play. went to MUJI to buy clothing for dad, aunt, uncle, mom, grandparents. lets hope it fits. so after spending like 200 bucks on clothes, i took the train back to the city where my bike is parked. i went to the mall to scope around for any eye catching items. and viola! (pronouce: wa la) a new jacket with a fur on the hoody. just what i've been looking for since last winter. and since clothes in japan fit me so well, i tried it on. and boy does it look good on me lol. well at least that's what i think =)
it started to rain around 4 when i came back. so i had to bike in the rain, carrying all the stuff i bought. those who know about hirakata know about that awesome uphill we gotta bike up to get back to the dorms. yup, u guessed it, i biked the whole damn thing. good exercise. when i got home, i had to do my laundry. damn japanese dryers can't dry anything. i must have spend 5 dollars- 6 dollars (2 hours) drying my colored clothes. >.<
after room inspection by otoosan (father) i went over to my friends dorm house for dinner. we had nabe! (hotpot) it was awesome. too bad i forgot to bring my camera, or else i'd have pics of tonite to post up. but it's all good. delicious food with awesome friends. it was just a great nite. cindy baked something really delicious for dessert. it's like the stuff we eat with congee with raisin in it and white sugar powder. sooooooooooo good!! shimatta... now im hungry =T
after the yummy food, we went into one of their rooms and chilled. chatted a bit, took some pics, watched some commercials, saw a part of shallow hal. by 10, we all left and said our farewells. =T sad huh? it's alright. maybe we'll see one another in the future!
studying abroad in Japan is something i'm glad i did. an experience that'll last a lifetime, got to meet great people like my friends, checked out the cultural similiarities and difference between america and japan, great service even at mcdonalds!, free tissue whereever u walk, japanese improves dramatically, and just so much more. this is the most fun and memorable experience in my 20 years of life. i hope it only gets better =)
take care Pak take care Grace take care Cindy take care Char take care Jodie take care Giddeon take care everybody! well those who are in ny, i'll see around =)
*HUG*!
